Refund policy
At Max & Riley, we are a small, family-run business and take great care in curating each piece. Please review our return policy carefully before making a purchase, as all policies are strictly enforced.
Return Eligibility
Return requests must be made within 4 days of receiving your order.
For example, if your order is delivered on a Thursday, your return request must be submitted by Sunday.
Items must be:
- Unworn
- Unwashed
- Undamaged
- Unaltered
- Returned with original tags attached
Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received.
How to Request a Return
To initiate a return, you must contact us at

Once your return is approved, you will receive a return authorization number along with the return address.
Returns sent without authorization will not be accepted.
Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
We do not provide return labels.
Once a return authorization is issued, the item must be shipped back within 2 days.
Shipping charges are non refundable.
Orders that qualified for free shipping will have the original shipping cost deducted from the refund.
Restocking Fee
A 5 percent restocking fee will be applied to all approved returns.
Refunds
Approved returns will be processed once the item is received and inspected.
Max & Riley reserves the right to refuse a refund if the item is returned in unacceptable condition. If this occurs, the item will be sent back to the customer.
Exchanges
Exchanges are not available at this time.
If you would like a different item, we recommend placing a new order.
Final Sale Items
The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded:
- Items marked as final sale
- All sale items
- Items purchased with a discount code
- Items discounted 20 percent or more
- Deal or No Deal purchases
- Third-party purchases
- All international orders
Items marked final sale will be clearly indicated in ALL CAPS within the product description.
Store Credit Policy
Items purchased at a discount of less than 20 percent are eligible for store credit only.
Order Cancellations
Orders placed using a discount code or sale items cannot be canceled.
Full price orders may be canceled only if they have not yet been processed or packed. Approved cancellations are subject to a 5 percent restocking fee.

Returns sent to any previous store location will not be accepted, as our storefront is closed.
Any items that do not meet the above requirements will be refused and returned to the customer.
